Manifesto highlights free power, jobs, education, and welfare for every family in Bihar
New Delhi: In a significant step toward the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Bihar Development Alliance (BDA) released the first list comprising 25 candidates in a press meet held in New Delhi.
The event was attended by Anshumaan Joshi, National President, Janhit Dal; Badal Khan, Bihar State President; Dr. Suraj Mandal, former MP and three-time MLA; and Asgar Khan, representative of the J.P. Alliance Muslim Political Committee.
This collective decision was taken jointly under the Bihar Vikas Gathbandhan, which includes Janhit Dal, and associates of Jayaprakash Narayan’s ideological movement, under the leadership of Dr. Suraj Mandal (former MP and three-time MLA).
Drawing inspiration from the vision and legacy of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, the Bihar Development Alliance seeks to revive his ideals of Sampoorna Kranti — Total Revolution — through transparent governance, inclusive growth, and participatory democracy. The alliance’s vision is deeply rooted in Jayaprakash Narayan’s belief in people’s empowerment, ethical leadership, and social justice.
The J.P. Alliance Agenda, forming the ideological framework of the Bihar Development Alliance, focuses on the four core pillars — Education, Employment, Equality, and Empowerment. The alliance envisions a Bihar where governance is ethical, opportunities are equitable, and every citizen is an active participant in building a prosperous state.
Reflecting its people-centric approach, the BDA also unveiled key commitments from its manifesto:
- 300 units of electricity free to every household
- Har Ghar Rozgar – employment for every family
- Ghotala Mukt Bihar – a corruption-free governance model
- Two government jobs for every family without requiring birth registration conditions
- Bihar Samaan Yojana – ₹5,000 monthly support to every family (₹60,000 annually)
- Free education in private schools for all children
- Kanya Daan Yojana – ₹1 lakh financial support for marriage of daughters
- ₹50,000 assistance at the birth of every child under Navjat Shishu Suraksha Yojana
- Free healthcare scheme for all citizens under Muft Swasthya Abhiyan
- Muslim Samaan Adhiniyam – equal rights and opportunities for the Muslim community
- Backward Jati Samaan Niyam – ensuring fair representation and dignity for backward communities
The first list of 25 candidates reflects Bihar’s diverse social, regional, and professional landscape — including educators, social reformers, women leaders, and youth activists committed to development-driven politics.
Reaffirming its dedication to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan’s legacy, the Bihar Development Alliance pledged to uphold his principles of ethical leadership, people’s empowerment, and corruption-free democracy. With this inclusive and transformative agenda, the alliance aims to redefine Bihar’s political narrative with integrity, equality, and development at its core.
