The International Samarpan of Shri Krishna Leela Collection at London’s Nehru Centre celebrated India’s cultural heritage, blending fragrance, art, and devotion to convey Krishna’s timeless message of love and harmony.

London, October 8, 2025:

A soulful celebration of art, fragrance, and devotion unfolded at the Nehru Centre, London, as the International Samarpan of the Shri Krishna Leela Collection brought together India’s timeless cultural and spiritual traditions. The event was graced by Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Director of Nehru Centre, London, and renowned Kathak exponent Richa Srivastava.

The evening began with a divine invocation, chanting “Om Krishnaya Vasudevaya Haraye Paramatmane”, seeking the boundless grace of Lord Krishna. This was followed by a screening of a short film highlighting the Shri Krishna Leela Collection, portraying the artistic inspiration and craftsmanship behind fragrances that transform divine stories into a sensory experience.

Mr. Prashant Kumar, CMD of Mode Retails Sales and Marketing Pvt. Ltd. and founder of Ramalaya & JPSR Prabhu Shriram, addressed the audience, sharing how fragrance can transcend mere product value to become a spiritual experience and cultural expression. “Each creation is more than a product; it is a living story — a fusion of bhava (emotion), bhakti (devotion), and sugandha (fragrance),” he said. He further emphasized India’s role as a global cultural guide, offering harmony, sustainability, and consciousness through its heritage.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rakesh Kumar remarked, “This Samarpan beautifully demonstrates India’s cultural diplomacy, where fragrance, art, and dance converge to communicate the universal message of Krishna’s love and harmony.”

Kathak Performance Brings Krishna’s Leelas to Life

The highlight of the evening was a mesmerizing Kathak recital by Richa Srivastava, titled “Krishna in Kathak”. Her performance depicted three divine Leelas:

  1. Kaliya Mardan – representing the triumph of purity and nature over evil,
  2. Vastra Haran – portraying Krishna as the compassionate protector and eternal hero, and
  3. Radha Krishna Thumri – celebrating the divine union of love and consciousness.

Through intricate movements, rhythm, and expressions, the performance beautifully captured the spiritual essence of Krishna’s eternal play, leaving the audience enthralled.

Shri Krishna Leela Collection: Fragrance as Devotion

Unveiled during the event, the Shri Krishna Leela Collection pays fragrant tribute to Krishna’s divine wisdom and joy. Each fragrance embodies a distinct Leela — Makhanchor’s innocence, Govardhan’s gratitude, Sudama’s humility, and Raas Leela’s transcendental love. Curated under the Ramalaya initiative by JPSR Prabhu Shriram, the collection blends India’s devotion, craftsmanship, and storytelling through the senses.

The ceremony concluded with the formal presentation of the collection to the Nehru Centre representatives, symbolizing India’s offering of love, balance, and spiritual harmony to the world.

The event reaffirmed India’s growing leadership in cultural diplomacy, showcasing how fragrance, film, and performance together can create a universal dialogue of peace, devotion, and consciousness.
