Three-day agritech expo and startup conclave to begin tomorrow at Kurukshetra University

Farmers to gain exposure to modern agricultural technologies under the ‘Naveen Avsar, Kushal Samriddh, Naya Bharat’ Programme

A three-day Agritech Expo and Startup Conclave will begin tomorrow at Kurukshetra University under the ‘Naveen Avsar, Kushal Samriddh, Naya Bharat’ initiative. According to Dharmveer Singh, office in-charge of MP Naveen Jindal, the event has been organised on the MP’s initiative to empower farmers and support the vision of a developed India. The fair will be held from May 9 to 11 at the KU Auditorium premises. It is being jointly organised by the Naveen Jindal Foundation and IRMA-ICID, and has generated significant enthusiasm among farmers.

The event will be attended by MP Naveen Jindal, Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana, and several other dignitaries. Farmers will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in agricultural technology, modern equipment, organic farming, startup opportunities, and agri-based enterprises.

Dharmveer Singh stated that the core objective of the initiative is to triple farmers’ income and open new avenues of employment for rural youth.

The fair will feature sessions on various aspects of modern agriculture, including natural farming, the PM-FME scheme, pesticide use and biological control, FPO schemes, go-to-market strategies, loan and subsidy programs, issues related to the dairy sector, seed and dealership information, export and licensing guidance, and the use of online platforms in agriculture.

Progressive farmers will also be honoured at the event, with their success stories shared on stage to inspire others. Dharmveer Singh urged farmers to participate in the fair and become part of the ongoing transformation in Indian agriculture.

Dr. Raj Kumar, Media Advisor to MP Naveen Jindal, said that Mahindra Tractors will organise a rally of 100 tractors to promote the event. The rally will be flagged off by MP Naveen Jindal and will travel across Kurukshetra and nearby villages to spread awareness about the farmers’ fair.
