“What Happened to Your ‘Shop of Love’?” — Dr. Paul Questions Congress Over 400-Acre Land Deal
Renowned Christian evangelist and Prajashanti Party chief Dr. K.A. Paul has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of undermining democratic values and betraying the future of the youth. He alleged that the Congress government is attempting to sell 400 acres of Hyderabad University land—valued at over ₹1 lakh crore—to private companies, including Adani.
Dr. Paul issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Congress leadership, warning that if the deal is not canceled immediately, he will take both legal and political action against them.
Questions Over Rahul Gandhi’s “Shop of Love”
In his statement, Dr. Paul recalled Rahul Gandhi’s promises during the Bharat Jodo Yatra and questioned whether the dreams shown to young people under the banner of “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan” (Shop of Love) were merely an illusion.
He accused the Congress government of forcefully suppressing student protests against the land deal, even arresting students on Eid. Calling the sale a betrayal of Telangana’s future, Dr. Paul asked, “Does Congress only care about the money they receive from Adani?”
Legal Action and Threat to Overthrow Telangana Government
Dr. Paul made it clear that if the land deal is not revoked within 72 hours, he will file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to halt the transaction.
“I have stopped the sale of a steel plant, I saved farmers’ land in Kamareddy, and I will stop this as well. It doesn’t matter whether the government is run by BJP, Congress, or anyone else—Telangana’s youth will not be sold!” he declared.
He further warned that if Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy continue to push the deal behind closed doors, Congress will be removed from power in Telangana.
Appeal to the Public, Media, and Police
Dr. Paul called on the public, media, and police to take action in defense of democracy and prevent the land sale.
“Share this message until it reaches Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Revanth Reddy. Before it’s too late, we must protect democracy.”
