The awards recognised global changemakers for nation-building, humanitarian service, and innovation, while reaffirming the J&K–HRDS INDIA housing initiative to construct 1,500 homes for families affected by conflict and disasters.

The HRDS INDIA–hosted Veer Savarkar International Impact Awards 2025 brought together national leaders, international dignitaries, scholars, and social innovators at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi. Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, graced the ceremony as the Chief Dignitary, honouring eight distinguished individuals whose work reflects the enduring ideals of Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar—courage, reform, and nation-building.
Prominent attendees included Swami Atma Nambi Ji, President of HRDS INDIA; Dr. S. Krishna Kumar, Former Union Minister and Chairman of HRDS INDIA; Mr. K. G. Venugopal, Vice President of HRDS INDIA; and Shri Aji Krishnan, Founder Secretary of the organisation.
J&K–HRDS INDIA Housing Mission Reaffirmed
In his address, Shri Manoj Sinha congratulated the awardees and reaffirmed the joint initiative of the Jammu & Kashmir Government and HRDS INDIA to construct 1,500 modern homes in the region.
He said,
“Veer Savarkar’s vision and courage continue to guide generations. I am pleased to share that 1,500 new homes are being constructed in the first phase of our collaborative effort with HRDS INDIA. This will provide security, dignity, and hope to families affected by Operation Sindoor, conflict, and natural calamities.”

The event featured a tribute film on Veer Savarkar and a classical Nritham performance by Ms. Vaishnavi PJ, disciple of Padmashree V. Jayarama Rao.

HRDS INDIA’s Expanding Mission
Founded in 1995, HRDS INDIA continues to transform tribal and rural communities through initiatives in housing, skill development, women’s empowerment, environment sustainability, healthcare, and education. Its programmes now span Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Assam, Jharkhand, and Tripura, with measurable impact across thousands of families.
The evening concluded with “Sudarsanam: Bharatam”, a documentary dance-drama performed by women rehabilitated through the Sudarsanam De-Radicalization Programme of Arsha Vidya Samajam—narrating their journey from vulnerability to empowered social service.
