Atal Foundation honours exceptional individuals for public service, social impact, and global contributions, reflecting Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision of inclusive development and community empowerment.

The Atal Foundation organised the prestigious Atal Shree 2025 and Atal Samman Samaroh 2025 at New Maharashtra Sadan, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi, celebrating the life, ideals, and enduring legacy of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The ceremony recognised individuals who have made remarkable contributions in public service, social development, and global impact, highlighting the values of integrity, leadership, and inclusive growth championed by Vajpayee Ji.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Bhagirath Chaudhary, attended as the chief guest and presented the awards. The event was graced by notable dignitaries including Member of Parliament Geeta Shakya, former MP and Indian Red Cross Society ex-Chairman Avinash Rai Khanna, Atal Foundation National President Aparna Singh, social activist Ashok Agarwal, and spiritual leader/former Miss World Tourism India Ishika Taneja.
Speaking at the event, MoS Bhagirath Chaudhary said, “The Atal Foundation is committed to reaching communities that need inclusion and empowerment. Its initiatives in education, healthcare, and social development continue to advance Atal Ji’s vision of equitable and sustainable progress.”
Awards were presented in four categories:
- Atal Ratna Award 2025: Avinash Rai Khanna and Ankit Rathi
- International Atal Award: Nine recipients recognised for impactful contributions at a global scale
- Atal Shree Award: 20 individuals honoured for excellence in various fields
- Atal Gaurav Award: 11 individuals recognised for sustained public service and social development
