The book highlights Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s nationalist philosophy, cultural roots, and democratic values, underscoring the shared civilisational ethos of Sanatan, Hindu, and Indian traditions.
New Delhi, December 24, 2025:
Vice President of India Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday jointly released Sanatan Sanskriti Ki Atal Drishti, a book authored by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani, at the Vice President’s Enclave in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President described the release as a heartfelt offering dedicated to Bharat Mata and said the timing was significant as the country prepares to commemorate the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Reflecting on Vajpayee ji’s leadership, he termed him a statesman of unwavering principles whose foresight strengthened India’s democratic institutions, infrastructure development, and strategic capabilities.
Shri Radhakrishnan noted that Vajpayee ji lived by the ideal of placing the nation above all else, blending ideological commitment with humility and ethical leadership. He said the book effectively captures Vajpayee ji’s deep respect for India’s cultural heritage, parliamentary traditions, and nationalist thought.

Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, addressing the gathering, emphasised the need to dispel misunderstandings surrounding Sanatan, Hindu, and Indian culture. He stated that these concepts represent a single civilisational consciousness rooted in inclusiveness and harmony. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he highlighted that Indian culture stands for Sarva Dharma Sambhava and mutual respect—principles that guided Atal Bihari Vajpayee throughout his life.
Author and Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani said the book explores Vajpayee ji’s life and leadership through the timeless values of Sanatan culture. He described Vajpayee ji’s journey from a grassroots worker to Prime Minister as a testament to steadfast nationalism, democratic faith, and cultural grounding.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Bhagirath Choudhary, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Shri Sunil Ambekar, National Book Trust Chairman Shri Milind Marathe, senior officials, and other distinguished guests.
