“This attack isn’t just on tourists—it’s an attack on the spirit of Kashmir and the unity of India,” said Ms. Asif. “Targeting civilians to disrupt peace and harmony is an act of cowardice that demands strict and immediate action.”
Ms. Asif offered her full support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India, and implored leadership to take swift decisive action against all individuals responsible and firmly punish the perpetrators, reiterating the nation’s commitment to confront terrorism head on.
“I appeal to Modiji to take decisive action and ensure that the perpetrators are not spared. The nation stands united in grief—and in resolve,” she added.
Ms. Asif also emphasized the importance of protecting communal harmony and called on the citizens to remain united against this violence that seeks to divide us. It is essential that we do not allow terrorism to break apart the fabric of our society.
The AIMF reiterated that it supports initiatives which strengthen national unity, ensure the safety of all citizens, and promote the ideals of peace, coexistence, and secularism in India.
