Kurukshetra is emerging as a global voice for natural farming, said MP Naveen Jindal while inaugurating a three-day Agri-Tech Exhibition and Startup Conclave at Kurukshetra University on Friday. He emphasized the importance of farmers taking the lead in adopting sustainable agricultural practices, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and efforts supported by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Padma Shri Dr. Hariom.

Jindal highlighted the need for innovation and passion in farming, stating that natural farming starts at home and must become a national movement. “Farming can strengthen the farmer, the society, and the nation,” he said, urging farmers to shift away from chemical-based agriculture.

Natural Farming Mission Gets ₹2,481 Crore Push

Dr. Hariom revealed that under the National Mission on Natural Farming, the government has released ₹2,481 crore to promote eco-friendly agriculture. He warned that excessive use of chemicals has degraded soil nutrients and water quality, and that food security is at risk unless sustainable methods are embraced.

He urged farmers to undergo training and pass on fertile land to future generations—an effort only possible through natural farming.

Expressing pride in the nation’s leadership and armed forces, Jindal condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and assured that India will not remain silent in the face of aggression.
