In a significant organisational development, Dr. Bhargav Mallappa has resigned from the post of National Deputy Chairman and Administration In-Charge of the People Forum of India, stepping down with immediate effect.

Dr. Bhargav formally notified National Chairman Dr. S. Manimozhiyaan of his decision through an official letter, in which he stated that he was withdrawing from all responsibilities within the organisation. Along with his resignation, he has revoked every appointment made under his signature during his tenure. These appointments will now be treated as null and void, a step he said was necessary to ensure transparency and prevent any administrative confusion going forward.

According to Dr. Bhargav, repeated requests for essential documents proving the organisation’s legal standing, operational framework and compliance status went unanswered. Without these records, he said he was unable to address queries from members or contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s development. He added that the absence of such documentation created a situation where fulfilling his duties responsibly was no longer possible.

He also clarified that any future decisions, actions or appointments taken by the organisation—whether by the National Chairman or others—would not carry any liability for him. Additionally, if any actions were carried out during his tenure without his knowledge, the responsibility would solely rest with the chairperson, as per standard post-resignation accountability norms.

In his statement, Dr. Bhargav emphasized that both his resignation and the cancellation of team appointments were precautionary measures aimed at avoiding administrative or legal complications. He thanked the leadership for the opportunity to serve and expressed his best wishes for the organisation’s mission and activities.

While reaffirming that his resignation is final and irrevocable, he noted that he remains willing to assist in a smooth transition if the required documents are made available.

This development marks a crucial moment for the People Forum of India, raising important questions about organisational procedures and transparency going forward.
