Delhi Sharks Triumph at Tamil Nadu Open Trios 2025, Clinch the Championship Title in Style

Dhruv Sarda-led team seals a narrow 12-pin victory in a nail-biting Baker format final

New Delhi: Delhi Sharks claimed the championship title at the prestigious DAVe BABA VIDYALAYA Tamil Nadu Open Trios Tenpin Bowling Tournament 2025, held at Let’s Bowl, Thoraipakkam, Chennai. The event was organized by the Tamil Nadu Tenpin Bowling Association (TNTBA) under the aegis of the Tenpin Bowling Federation (India).

In an exciting final, played on Baker format based on cumulative pinfall of 2 games, the Delhi Sharks — comprising Dhruv Sarda, Palguna Reddy, and Sunil Sharma — defeated Strike Syndicate Chennai (Soban D, Ganesh N.T., and Gurunathan) by a narrow margin of 12 pins (375–363).

After Game 1, Delhi Sharks trailed by 3 pins (170–173) but made a strong comeback scoring 205 in Game 2. Ganesh N.T. could not strike in the last frame, letting Delhi Sharks win the title!

Semi Final 1:
Strike Syndicate Chennai sailed past Triple Threat Chennai (Deepak Kothari, Parthiban, Anand Raghav) 403–369.

Semi Final 2:
Delhi Sharks overcame Chennai Thunder Strikerz (Anand Babu, Sabeena Athica, Abhishek D) 364–357.

Delhi Wolves (Kushal K.S., Mehul Popli, Baljeet Singh) showcased impressive performances throughout the tournament. With fine performances from Kushal K.S. (875 pins) and Mehul Popli (758 pins) in Round 2, Delhi Wolves made the cut for the Top 8 and finished overall 7th.

Incredibowls Mumbai (Ajay Bankar, Shreyas Joshi, Vinay Naik) had a fine run throughout but missed qualifying for the semifinals by just 8 pins.

A total of 36 teams from across India participated in this 4-day event. Bowlers showcased remarkable individual performances, with 18 bowlers averaging over 200 in a single block of 4 games.
Two bowlers achieved exceptional 900+ series in 4 games — Anand Babu (Tamil Nadu) – 929 and Dhruv Sarda (Delhi) – 900.

The multi-round format, including qualifying blocks, round-robin, and knockout stages, tested skill, endurance, and team coordination.
